With the coming together of the British Woodworking Federation’s Accreditation Scheme and the BSI Kitemark scheme, which now run in partnership, Howarth has introduced the BSI Kitemark to its extensive product range Howarth Timber Engineering A wholly owned subsidiary of the Howarth Timber Group, this company specialises in timber engineering. It designs and manufactures structural timber engineered products using timber from certified sources such as FSC, PEFC, SFI, CSA and MTCC. Main products are trussed rafters, roofs, timber-framed structures, I-beams, floors and cassettes, with quality management to ISO 9001:2000. Howarth Timber & Building Supplies Timber merchanting is at the heart of the business, whilst most branches carry significant stocks of planed timber mouldings, pse (planed square edge) sections, quadrants, scotias, skirtings, architraves, door linings, door casings and flooring. Alongside this is a wide variety of other timber lengths, sections and sizes in both structural carcassing and joinery grade materials.
